CONTOURA® VISION LASIK

At Palmetto Eye & Laser Center we’ve taken personalized, customized LASIK to a whole new level with the introduction of CONTOURA® Vision. This amazing topography-guided LASIK technology allows Dr. Billy J. Haguewood to analyze up to 22,000 data points on each eye, creating an extremely precise computerized map of each eye’s elevation points. It’s like a unique fingerprint of your eye, allowing Dr. Haguewood to know exactly what areas of your cornea need to be reshaped to achieve the sharpest vision possible. By altering just those areas that are causing your refractive error, light entering the eyes will be better equipped to land directly on your retina for superior vision.

BEST CANDIDATES FOR CONTOURA VISION

Generally, this treatment is effective for people with astigmatism or those who are nearsighted. CONTOURA PROCEDURE & RESULTS

The CONTURA Vision procedure takes about 15 minutes in our laser suite. Most patients do not describe the procedure as painful. As your eyes heal over the next day or two, you may experience slight discomfort that can be minimized with eye drops. Some patients are able to return to work and normal activities the very next day.
