Here are just some of the\nbasic dos and don&#8217;ts to optimally care for your eyes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dos for Your Eyes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eat a Healthy Diet \u2013 <\/strong>A\ndiet rich in vitamins, anti-oxidants and other vital nutrients is important to\nmaintain eye health. Vitamin A and beta-carotene in carrots are particularly\ngood for your eyes. Also, seasonal vegetables, especially dark green leafy\nveggies such as spinach, broccoli and fruits such as watermelon are good for\nyour eyes. These foods contain lutein, an antioxidant that protects the eyes\nfrom damage and boosts eye health. Also, eat fish that are high in Omega-3\nfatty acids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wear Sunglasses <\/strong>\u2013\nWear sunglasses whenever you are outside to protect the eyes from harmful\nultraviolet (UV) rays, especially during peak UV hours (10 am\u20134 pm). Even on a\ncloudy day, you should always wear high-quality sunglasses when you go outdoors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Give Your Eyes a\nBreak <\/strong>\u2013 Follow the 20-20-20 rule when working long hours in front of the\ncomputer.
