While there is no scientific proof that you can prevent cataracts, there are certainly steps you can take to help reduce your risk factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tips for Preventing Cataracts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maintain Regular Vision Care \u2013<\/strong> Even if your vision is clear and healthy, make it a priority to schedule yearly eye exams. Make sure you wear a wide-brimmed hat and\nsunglasses with UV protection when outside for extended periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Control Diabetes \u2013<\/strong>\nStudies suggests that those with diabetes are at greater risk for developing\ncataracts. That is why maintaining healthy blood sugar is so important\u2014for both\nyour overall health and the health of your vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No matter your age, there are steps you can take to help\nprevent cataracts or slow their development.
